Joining the Army Cadets can change that. We give young people – from all walks of life – access to fun, friendship, action and adventure. We challenge our cadets to learn more, do more and try more. We inspire them to aim high and go further and ‘Be more’ in life, no matter what they aim to do in the future.
Open to one and all, Cornwall Army Cadets are seeking young people from the age of 12-17 to join us for adventure, fun, friendships and skills for life.
With over 480 cadets and over 110 adult volunteers in 22 locations across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, the Army Cadets makes a big impact on young people, parents and local communities.

Cornwall Army Cadets are seeking young people from the age of 12-17 to join us for adventure, fun, friendships and skills for life. We are also seeking Adult Instructors aged 18+ to join us to develop the local young people, as well as learning new skills and gaining additional qualifications for yourself. No previous experience is necessary as we give you all the training and opportunities you need! If you’re up for a challenge, you’ll go further with Cornwall Army Cadets!

Cornwall Army Cadets is split into three Regions (known as Companies). The names of the companies come from battle honours of the Cornwall regiments, from 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment of Foot (1705), the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry (1881), The Somerset and Cornwall Light Infantry (1959), The Light Infantry (1968), and then The Rifles (2007).
Gibraltar Company covers the West of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Lucknow Company covers the detachments in Mid Cornwall, and Inkerman Company covers the East of Cornwall.

Join the Army Cadets to embark on an exciting adventure, develop valuable skills, and build lifelong friendships for young people between 12-18. We are looking out for volunteers aged 18+ too!
