A huge well done from us all at Durham Army Cadet Force to Cadet Sergeant Jordan Latcham on his bestowal of the first ever League of Mercy's Distinguished Community Service Medal for Cadets at the Mansion House in London.

A HGV lorry had careered off the road and into an apartment block smashing the front of the building. Jordan put his cadet training into practice and administered first aid to the driver and remained with him until the emergency services arrived.

Jordan then assisted his boss in creating a safe route for the building’s occupants to exit the building. His quick thinking and initiative saved the day. Well done Sgt Latcham Durham Army Cadet Force is proud of you.
