A Weekend of Competition and Success
The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force achieved outstanding success in the Joint Military Command South-East (JMC(SE)) Cadet Skill at Arms Meeting (CADSAM) 2025, held over the weekend of 19–21 September at Pirbright Ranges in Surrey.
This annual cadet rifle competition brings together Army Cadet Forces (ACF) and school-based Combined Cadet Forces (CCF) from across the South East of the UK. With 18 teams of four firers, competitors take part in Service Rifle Matches run to almost the same format as those used by the Regular Army and Army Reserve in operational shooting competitions.

Worthy Competition
It is also worth noting that a number of Berkshire school Combined Cadet Forces – including Reading School and Reading Blue Coat School – also competed. They proved themselves to be worthy competitors and performed strongly throughout the weekend.
