Recruit Weekend

Cadets attend the fourth recruit weekend at Cadet Training Centre Tilshead

This weekend saw the culmination of 4 special weekends for our newest cadets within the Wiltshire Army Cadet Force. Delivering the full Basic Training Cadre as the alternative to the main summer annual camp 2023

  • EXERCISE ASSISTANCE GUARD 23 (14 – 16 APRIL 2023)

Weekend one: consisted of Drill & Turnout, First Aid, Communications (CIS) & Community Engagement

  • EXERCISE EMERGING SNIPER 23 (12 – 14 May 2023)

Weekend two: will consist of Skill at Arms, Shooting, Military Knowledge, Keeping Active & Adventure Training

  • Exercise Voyage Dawn 23 (09-11 June 2023)

Weekend three: to teach and test recruits Fieldcraft and Tactics in the field in a dry, non-complex exercise

  • EXERCISE WAYFINDER 23, (30 Jun – 02 Jul 2023)

Weekend four: consisted of navigation training and public ground for an expedition walk
