About Us
Lothian and Borders Battalion Army Cadet Force has over 550 cadets and 150 adult volunteers in 33 detachments spread right across the capital city of Edinburgh and the Lothian and the Borders areas of Scotland.
The 33 detachments are organised into 6 companies as follows:
A Company (East Lothian) has its headquarters at the Army Cadet Hut in Musselburgh. There are 5 detachments spread across East Lothian.
B Company (Borders) is the most southerly unit of the Battalion with its headquarters at Galashiels. There are 8 detachments in the Company based at locations throughout the Borders area.
C Company (Edinburgh North and East) Headquarters is located at the TA Centre at Granton Square, Edinburgh. There are 4 detachments spread across the north and east areas of the capital city.
D Company (West Lothian) consists of 5 detachments based in several locations throughout the County of West Lothian. It has its headquarters at the TA Centre, Livingston.
E Company (Midlothian) has its headquarters at the Army Cadet Hut in Penicuik. There are 5 detachments spread throughout the Midlothian area.
F Company (Edinburgh South and West) has its headquarters at the ACF Hut, Chesser Crescent, Edinburgh. It has 5 detachments based in south and west areas of Edinburgh. It also plays host to our Pipes and Drums Detachment which is based at Colinton Road, Edinburgh
