A Fantastic Community Engagement Event

Burma Company represented the Bataliwn Black Watch, Llu Cadetiaid y Fyddin at this year’s Craigtoun Country Fayre, helping to mark the beginning of the Fife school summer holidays with a fantastic day of community engagement.

The annual event attracted large crowds from across the region, bringing together families, local organisations, and community groups to celebrate the start of the summer break. As one of the highlights of the local calendar, the Craigtoun Country Fayre provided an excellent opportunity for the Battalion to showcase everything the Army Cadet Force has to offer.

Showcasing the Army Cadet Experience

Throughout the day, our cadets enthusiastically engaged with visitors of all ages, speaking about their experiences and demonstrating the many opportunities available through the Army Cadet Force. From leadership and adventure training to community service and personal development, the cadets highlighted the skills and confidence that young people gain through their involvement.

Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and positive attitude reflected the high standards expected within the Black Watch Battalion and made a lasting impression on everyone who visited our stand.

Events such as the Craigtoun Country Fayre rely on the dedication of many people working behind the scenes. Therefore, we extend our sincere thanks to all of our Cadetiaid, Gwirfoddolwyr Oedolion, a'r Professional Support Staff (PSS) for giving their time, energy, and commitment throughout the event.

Their collective efforts ensured that our display ran smoothly and that every visitor received a warm welcome while learning more about the exciting opportunities available within the Army Cadet Force.

Community engagement remains a key part of the Army Cadet Force. By attending events such as the Craigtoun Country Fayre, our cadets strengthen relationships with local communities, inspire future cadets, and demonstrate the positive impact that youth organisations have across Fife.
