The Army Cadets’ two national training centres offer exceptional opportunities for both cadets and adult volunteers. Each centre has a unique focus; one on adventure, the other on leadership and instructional excellence, but both are united in delivering unforgettable experiences and high-quality training.

Cadet Training Centre (CTC), Frimley Park

Located in Surrey, CTC Frimley Park is the national centre of excellence for Army Cadet leadership and instructor development. Here, we deliver high-level training to both adult volunteers and senior cadets within the Army Cadets and the Combined Cadet Force (CCF).

The centre is also home to the annual Champion Cadet Competition, which celebrates the best of cadet skill, leadership, and character from across the UK.

Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT)

With locations in North Wales and Lancaster, the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT) helps cadets and adult volunteers build courage, resilience, and leadership through challenging outdoor adventure. Whether you’re climbing in Snowdonia, skiing in Bavaria, or navigating remote mountain trails, CCAT is the place to push your limits.

Led by fully qualified instructors, CCAT courses are designed to build decision-making, teamwork, and self-belief in ways few other experiences can. Plus, you’ll have some serious fun.
