Going Above and Beyond for ACIE26
Lieutenant East originally committed to supporting the Scottish phase of the international exchange for seven days. However, when additional support was needed just days before the event began, he immediately stepped forward.
Without hesitation, he extended his commitment to the full 26-day programme, travelling across the United Kingdom to support one of the Army Cadets’ flagship international events.
Throughout ACIE26, Lieutenant East displayed outstanding professionalism, flexibility and dedication. Moreover, his willingness to adapt at short notice ensured the programme ran smoothly and delivered an exceptional experience for both UK and international cadets, as well as the many adult volunteers who supported the exchange.
Demonstrating Army Cadet Values
Lieutenant East’s actions reflect the very best of the Army Cadet Force. His selfless service, commitment and leadership set an excellent example for cadets and adult volunteers alike.
Furthermore, by putting the needs of the organisation first and embracing every challenge, he played an important role in the success of Army Cadet International Exchange 2026. His efforts strengthened international friendships, encouraged teamwork and helped create lasting memories for everyone involved.
