CIS refers to Communications and Information Systems. CIS involves the use of technology and systems to facilitate communication, information sharing, and tactical operations.
In the ACF, cadets may learn about CIS through training exercises, simulations, or practical activities, such as:
– Radio communications: Using radios to transmit and receive information
– Network operations: Understanding and utilising digital networks for communication and information sharing
– Cyber security: Protecting information systems from cyber threats
– Information management: Collecting, processing, and disseminating information effectively
CIS plays a crucial role in modern military operations, enabling effective communication, situational awareness, and decision-making. Cadets learnt about CIS can develop valuable skills in technology, problem-solving, and teamwork.
