Major General James Senior was commissioned in 1996 into The King’s Royal Hussars. He served in Bosnia, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, and Iraq, later commanding a squadron of The Second Royal Tank Regiment. His staff roles included the MOD, Army Personnel Centre, and HQ ISAF in Afghanistan. He commanded The Light Dragoons (2014–2016), contributed to the National Security Review, and led the Army’s Integrated Review team after promotion to brigadier in 2019. He commanded 38 (Irish) Brigade (2021–2023) and is now GOC Regional Command. An endurance runner, he has completed marathons worldwide. He and his wife Victoria have three sons.

Brigadier Gary McDade was commissioned in 1993 into The Glosters, later The Rifles. His service included mechanised, air mobile, and armoured infantry roles, with deployments to Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Mali. He held staff roles with Chiefs of the General Staff and in operational planning in Germany and Bulford. A graduate of the Advanced Command and Staff Course, his Master’s focused on mental health stigma. He commanded the Military Corrective Training Centre, led Army Cadets as Commander South West, and became Deputy Commander Cadets in 2023. He is married with two daughters and is Vice Chair of Army Rugby Union.

Colonel Tim Cave-Gibbs joined the 1st Battalion, The Royal Highland Fusiliers before its amalgamation into the Royal Regiment of Scotland. He served in light and armoured infantry, with deployments to Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, and Iraq. His staff roles included positions in the Permanent Joint HQ, Defence Procurement Agency, Combat Directorate, and Army HQ, focusing on equipment and capability. He also held a human resources role in HQ Infantry and was Special Defence Advisor to the Peshmerga. He has served as ACOS Cadets since October 2024.
