Major General Justin Stenhouse CBE DSO

Justin Stenhouse commissioned into 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards (QDG) in 1998. His operational experience has included deployments to Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. At staff he has held appointments on the Current Operations desk for Afghanistan in the Permanent Joint Headquarters, been an Instructor on the Intermediate Command and Staff Course (Land) and done various appointments from Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier as a Resource and Capability planner in Headquarters Field Army, Army Headquarters and more latterly in the Military Strategic Headquarters. In 2021 he attended the Higher Command and Staff Course. He has commanded 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards from 2017 to 2019 and 11th Security Force Assistance Brigade from 2022 to 2024 which included command of Operation INTERFLEX, the training of Ukrainian soldiers in the United Kingdom. In July 26 he promoted to Major-General and was appointed General Officer Commanding Regional Command.
