通过反思和服务向英雄致敬
The Festival of Remembrance is one of the most significant dates in the British calendar. It is a time to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in the Armed Forces from the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
This event is not about glorifying war; it is about reflection, gratitude, and hope. The red poppy stands as a symbol of remembrance and a commitment to peace.

It was a truly special day for Caernarfon Cadet Company Sergeant Major Tomos Jones at this year’s 纪念节日, held in the iconic Royal Albert Hall. The moving event brought the nation together through music, reflection, and unity, paying tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
This year, Tomos had the distinct honour of serving as the national banner bearer for the Army Cadet Force (ACF) during both performances — a prestigious role that reflects his dedication, discipline, and leadership. Reporting to the Royal Albert Hall on Friday, Tomos received detailed briefings from the Royal British Legion National Parade Marshal and worked under the expert direction of Garrison Sergeant Major Vern Stokes OBE, MVO, DL, who guided all participants through the precise ceremonial proceedings.
Reflecting on his experience, Tomos said, “I was overwhelmed with pride when I was selected for this role, and my family was over the moon. I was particularly taken with the professionalism of the Garrison Sergeant Major.”
He added, “Being at the Royal Albert Hall was an incredible and deeply moving experience. I had the honour of taking part as a standard bearer; it was a truly memorable and emotional day.”
Tomos’s achievement stands as a proud moment for Caernarfon and the Army Cadet Force, exemplifying the spirit of service and remembrance that unites the nation
