The second Familiarisation and Assessment (F&A) Day of the year took place for LNR ACF, welcoming another 10 potential Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs). The day began with introductions from the Directing Staff, followed by several informative presentations about the organisation, responsibilities, courses and progression, values and standards, and safeguarding.

There was also an opportunity to work together and show off their building skills during a teamwork task. Surprisingly, there was very little egg yolk spilled from the cracked eggs! The day concluded with individual presentations, allowing each participant to demonstrate their ability and desire to become a CFAV in the Army Cadets.

The F&A Day is the first step for those wishing to volunteer, followed by the Safe Person course and then Basic Instructor Training.

It was once again a pleasure for the County Training Team CFAVs to meet such fantastic potential volunteers, all ready to commit their time and energy to the organisation. We’re looking forward to seeing them get stuck in and begin their training at detachments in the coming weeks and months.
