Alma Company Steps Up for the Community

Community engagement is an important part of Army Cadet life. Recently, Alma Company Cadets and Adult Volunteers came together to support the Auchterarder Running Festival.

The busy weekend gave our cadets an opportunity to get involved, support runners and play an active role in their local community.

Supporting the Auchterarder Running Festival

У "The Auchterarder Running Festival featured a range of events for runners of all ages and abilities.

These included the 10K, Half Marathon and the iconic Double Dare, challenging participants to complete both distances.

There was also a Junior Fun Run, bringing plenty of excitement and smiles as younger runners took part.

Throughout the weekend, Alma Company cadets and Adult Volunteers were on hand to support the event and help make it a success.

Learning Beyond the Detachment

Community engagement provides cadets with valuable opportunities to develop skills outside their normal training environment.

By supporting events like this, cadets can build confidence, teamwork and communication skills. At the same time, they learn the importance of helping others and contributing to the communities around them.

Furthermore, working alongside Adult Volunteers gives cadets the opportunity to take responsibility and experience what it means to be part of a team.

Making a Difference

For Alma Company, supporting the Auchterarder Running Festival was about more than simply attending an event.

It was about getting involved, giving back and making a difference.
