Black Watch Cadets Take on National Rugby Team Trials
Black Watch Army Cadets put in an outstanding effort at today’s national rugby team trials, representing the Battalion with pride both on and off the pitch.
O Black Watch Army Cadets rugby trials gave participants the chance to demonstrate their ability in front of selectors. From the first drill to the final match, every Cadet brought energy, commitment and a positive attitude.
Rising to the Challenge
The unusually warm Scottish weather added another challenge to an already demanding day. Nevertheless, the Cadets stayed focused, worked hard and supported one another throughout.
Their rugby ability was clear to see. They competed with determination, showed sound skills and approached every activity with professionalism. Equally important, they remained composed and encouraging when the pressure increased.
Cadet Values in Action
The day was about much more than rugby. Cadets demonstrated discipline in their preparation, courage in competition and teamwork in every drill and match.
These values are central to the Army Cadet Force. Therefore, it was especially pleasing to see them displayed so naturally during the trials. Each participant helped create a supportive, determined team environment.
Proud of Every Cadet
The Battalion is incredibly proud of all Cadets who took part. They represented the Black Watch with distinction and gave a strong account of themselves at a national-level opportunity.
Final selections will follow in due course. However, regardless of the outcome, every Cadet should be proud of the effort, resilience and commitment they showed today.
