Cadet Adult Recognition Awards Celebrate Dedicated Volunteers
The hard work, commitment and dedication of Cadet Force Adult Volunteers were recognised and celebrated at the inaugural Cadet Adult Recognition Awards (CARAs) held in Perth by the Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (HRFCA).
The awards were created to recognise the outstanding contribution made by adult volunteers who give their time, experience and expertise to support cadets. As a result, young people continue to benefit from high-quality training, development opportunities and memorable experiences throughout the year.
Recognising Outstanding Service
Among those honoured at the ceremony were Lieutenant David Moir, Major Bob Richardson ਅਤੇ Staff Sergeant Kyle Chapple. Each received a Cadet Adult Recognition Award in recognition of their dedication, commitment and service.
These awards highlight the vital role that Cadet Force Adult Volunteers play in helping young people develop confidence, leadership, teamwork and resilience. Furthermore, they recognise the countless hours volunteers devote to supporting the Army Cadet Force both on and off parade nights.
A Delayed Presentation for Staff Sergeant Chapple
While Lieutenant Moir and Major Richardson received their awards during the ceremony in Perth, Staff Sergeant Chapple was unable to attend as he was on holiday at the time.
However, his achievement was not overlooked.
At a later date, Staff Sergeant Chapple was presented with his award by the Commandant whilst supporting cadet training in the field. Consequently, he was able to receive the recognition he had earned among fellow volunteers and cadets.
The presentation served as a fitting acknowledgement of his continued commitment and contribution to the organisation.
The Importance of Cadet Force Adult Volunteers
Cadet Force Adult Volunteers are the backbone of the Army Cadet Force. They dedicate countless hours to planning, organising and delivering activities that help young people grow and succeed.
Whether instructing on training weekends, mentoring cadets, supporting community events or working behind the scenes, volunteers make a significant difference every day. In addition, their dedication helps ensure cadets receive safe, enjoyable and rewarding experiences.
ਦ Cadet Adult Recognition Awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate these contributions and recognise the positive impact volunteers have on the lives of young people.
