Training That Makes a Difference
A massive well done to nine Black Watch Battalion Adult Volunteers who successfully completed their First Aid at Work course over the weekend.
Giving up part of a weekend to complete additional training demonstrates the commitment our Adult Volunteers have to supporting cadets and maintaining high standards.
Developing Skills and Confidence
Being an Adult Volunteer is about much more than turning up on parade night.
Our volunteers play an important role in delivering training, supporting activities and helping cadets develop their skills and confidence. Therefore, having the right knowledge and training is essential.
First Aid training provides valuable skills that can be used during parade nights, training activities, camps, expeditions and events.
Just as importantly, it gives volunteers greater confidence to respond appropriately when someone needs assistance.
Nine Volunteers. One Stronger Team.
9 volunteers. New skills. Greater confidence. One stronger team.
The successful completion of the course is another example of our Adult Volunteers investing their own time and effort to improve what they can offer to our cadets.
As a result, our volunteers are better prepared to support safe, challenging and rewarding activities across the Battalion.
A huge thank you to all nine volunteers for their commitment and for giving up their weekend to complete the training.

You don’t need previous military experience. Whether you have experience in First Aid, sport, outdoor activities, music, administration, leadership or simply a willingness to get involved, there could be a role for you.
