Long Service Recognised with Cadet Forces Medals

Two dedicated members of the Clwyd & Gwynedd Army Cadet Force professional support team have been recognised for their outstanding service with the presentation of the Cadet Forces Medal.

During a formal parade at Annual Camp, Warrant Officer Class 2 Sharon Hensel and Warrant Officer Class 2 Jordan Hockridge received their medals from County Commandant Colonel Melanie E Prangnell MBE, in recognition of their long and efficient service to the Army Cadet Force.

WO2 Sharon Hensel has given more than 10 years of service to the Cadet Forces. During her time with Clwyd & Gwynedd ACF, she held a number of important appointments within Somme Company, including Detachment Commander and Company Sergeant Major, before bringing her experience to the County’s permanent staff in 2023.

WO2 Jordan Hockridge has an equally impressive record, with more than 12 years of Cadet Force service. During his career he served at several detachments, gaining valuable experience across the County before joining the permanent staff team in 2023.

Le Cadet Forces Medal recognises long and efficient service by commissioned officers and non-commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces.

Congratulating Sharon and Jordan, Colonel Prangnell praised their well-deserved recognition and thanked them for their commitment, professionalism and continued service to the Army Cadet Force in North Wales.

Their medals are a fitting recognition of many years of dedication – and a reminder of the vital contribution made by the adults who support, train and inspire the next generation of Army Cadets. Congratulations Sharon and Jordan!
