Day 1 – Promotion alert!
What better start to Annual Camp than some well-earned promotions for our cadets and CFAVs
We want to wish each of you who earned a promotion a huge well done on your achievements and wish you all the best with your new ranks and roles!

Day 2 Update
Today our cadets have been enjoying many different activities, both in camp and around the local area.
On camp, we’ve had cadets using the climbing wall, we’ve had some theory lessons to prepare the cadets for their expedition walks and this afternoon, they put the knowledge to the test and headed out on a 4km walk around the outside of camp.
The first day of our adventurous training also started today with cadets taking part in gorge scrambling, abseiling, mountain biking, kayaking and canoeing.
Moral is high, the weather has been lovely and there are lots of very happy cadets around camp looking forward to the rest of the week away!
Day 3 Update
Wow what a day we’ve had today! The weather was a lot cooler today which we were all pleased about as it’s been hot over the last couple of days!
We’ve had cadets out on AT doing mountain biking, axe throwing, rock climbing, abseiling, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and raft building and Exped again today and the cadets in camp have been putting their skills to use on the air rifle range.
Day 4 Update
We have officially hit the halfway mark for our camp and it has been a HOT one for us today!
We’ve had another fun filled day of AT, navigation, first aid, skill at arms and fieldcraft across camp.
Our 3* cadre headed out to the training area to start their Fieldcraft phase where they prepped for the exercise and had their first set of orders.
We also had a visit from Colonel Edwards, he came to visit our cadets and CFAVs to see what we’ve been getting upto on camp. Colonel Edwards also awarded RSM Gallagher with the JMC commander coin for excellence. He was awarded this for his excelling work and dedication that he has put into this year’s Annual Camp, and to the Battalion over the course of the year.
