Last month, 134 cadets from F Squadron assembled at Yardley Chase, Northamptonshire, to take part in a competition weekend focused on Army Cadet Syllabus (ACS) subjects. Working in detachments, cadets competed against one another in a variety of exciting and challenging activities, including: Paintball Range, Communication Skills, Blindfold Trail, Fieldcraft, Laser Shotgun Shooting, Casualty Evacuation, Kit Packing Relay Race, Reaction to Fire Control Orders, and an evening stalking exercise.
All the cadets had an amazing weekend — but in the end, there could only be one winner. Congratulations to the top-placed teams:
1st Place: Group 5 (Ibstock)
2nd Place: Group 7 (Loughborough) & Group 8 (Loughborough)
4th Place: Group 2 (Castle Donington/Coalville)
️ 5th Place: Group 3 (Coalville) & Group 6 (Ibstock)
7th Place: Group 4 (Coalville)
8th Place: Group 1 (Barrow)
Major R Goodband, Officer Commanding F Squadron, was impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm of all the cadets who took part. He also expressed his sincere thanks to the adult instructors whose hard work and planning made the weekend a great success.
