Pwllheli Detachment’s own Zachary Edwards has been awarded the Jim Hewitt Trophy for Excellence for 2025, marking a proud moment for both the detachment and the wider Army Cadet community in North Wales.

The award was presented by Mrs Sandra Hewitt, widow of the late Major Jim Hewitt, who expressed her joy at seeing the trophy go to such a deserving young cadet. She said she was “delighted to present Jim’s award to such a worthy cadet.”

Commandant Melanie E. Prangnell MBE praised Zachary’s achievements, noting that he is “an inspiration to other cadets and can look forward to a successful cadet career.”
