Pumpkin Carving, Dookin’ for Apples and More!
There was plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the Halloween celebrations.
A Night of Halloween Fun
Our Cadets got creative with pumpkin carving, putting their skills and imagination to the test. Meanwhile, dookin’ for apples brought a traditional Scottish touch to the evening, alongside plenty of Halloween fun and games.
Halloween has deep roots in Scottish culture. The name comes from All Hallows’ Eve, while many of Scotland’s traditional celebrations are associated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain.
Consequently, activities such as dookin’ for apples remain a familiar part of Scotland’s Halloween traditions, bringing generations together through fun and festivities.
More Than Just Cadets
At the Army Cadet Force, the experience goes far beyond uniforms, training and learning new skills.
It’s about friendship, teamwork, confidence and belonging.
Events like this give Cadets the chance to spend time together in a relaxed environment, strengthen friendships and enjoy being part of a team. Just as importantly, they help create the shared experiences and memories that make the cadet journey so rewarding.
A huge thank you to our Adult Volunteers!
Their time, enthusiasm and commitment help make activities like these possible. By creating opportunities for Cadets to learn, develop and enjoy themselves, they play a vital role in making the Army Cadet Force such a positive experience.
