Black Watch Cadets Take Part in 51 Brigade Rugby Selection
Over the weekend, cadets from across the Battalion took part in 51 Brigade Rugby training and selection.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for cadets to develop their rugby skills, demonstrate their ability and compete for selection at Brigade level.
It was also a chance to represent the Battalion, work as part of a team and test themselves in a competitive environment.
Developing Skills and Teamwork
Rugby requires much more than physical ability. It demands teamwork, communication, discipline, determination and commitment.
Throughout the training and selection process, cadets were able to put these qualities into practice while developing their rugby skills.
Furthermore, taking part in Brigade-level activity gives cadets valuable experience of competing alongside other young people from across the region.
Regional Rugby Badges Awarded
Congratulations to all the cadets who took part in the training and selection.
In recognition of their participation and achievement, all cadets received their Regional Rugby Badge.
This is a fantastic achievement and provides a lasting reminder of the effort and commitment they demonstrated throughout the weekend.
Selected for the National Competition
There was further success for the Battalion, with Cadet Sergeant Major MacDonald oraz Cadet Corporal Jump selected to represent 51 Brigade at the National Army Cadets Competition.
Their selection is an outstanding achievement and reflects their hard work, determination and ability to perform effectively as part of a team.
We wish both cadets every success as they prepare to represent 51 Brigade at national level.
