A Well-Deserved Promotion

The appointment of Cadet Company Sergeant Major for Ypres Company is one of the highest leadership roles available to a senior cadet. It recognises not only personal achievement but also the ability to lead by example, mentor junior cadets and uphold the values and standards of the Army Cadet Force.

Throughout his time with the Black Watch Battalion Army Cadet Force, Kyle has consistently demonstrated professionalism, determination and a positive attitude. Consequently, he has earned the respect of fellow cadets and adult volunteers alike, making him an excellent choice for this prestigious appointment.

A Proud Presentation

To mark the occasion, Kyle was presented with his Cadet Company Sergeant Major rank slides by his Company Commander, Major Bob Richardson. He also received the Company Pace Stick z Warrant Officer Class 2 Shona Richardson, symbolising the responsibility and leadership expected in his new role.

The presentation of the Pace Stick is a proud tradition. It represents discipline, leadership and the trust placed in those appointed to lead and support their company.
