A Remarkable Achievement
Achieving the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a significant accomplishment that reflects determination, commitment and perseverance. Participants complete a challenging programme designed to develop confidence, leadership and independence while making a positive contribution to their communities.
To earn the Gold Award, participants dedicate many months to volunteering, improving physical fitness, developing new skills, completing adventurous expeditions and taking part in a residential experience alongside people they have not previously met. Consequently, every Gold Award holder demonstrates exceptional character and a willingness to challenge themselves.
