Nine cadets from Kent Army Cadet Force recently travelled to Wales to take part in the National Target Sprint Finalsโ€”an exciting event combining running and precision shooting. Each race involved three 400m sprints interspersed with shooting rounds, where cadets aimed to knock down five targets per stage.

Despite this being only their second time competing, the Kent team held their own against seasoned athletes from across the UK, achieving personal bests and showcasing determination, skill, and teamwork.

This event is just one example of the diverse opportunities the Army Cadet Force offers. From adventurous training and fieldcraft to marksmanship, leadership development, and nationally recognised qualifications, the ACF provides young people and adult volunteers with a rich and rewarding experience. Whether it’s climbing mountains, earning a Duke of Edinburgh Award, or representing their county at civic events, cadets gain confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills.

Well done to all who took partโ€”and thank you to the adult volunteers who make these experiences possible.
