This week we were joined by W01 Steve Parker, The Home Command and SJC Command Corporal Major for our Tuesday Takeover on Instagram. The session was great and W01 Parker was given some great questions to answer.

Next Tuesday (16 June) will be with Corps of Army Music. You can check them out on Instagram ahead of the takeover @corps_army_music

Birthday wishes

This week our Patron HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, celebrated his 99th Birthday. We would like to take this opportunity of wishing him a very Happy Birthday on behalf of everyone at the Army Cadets.

Virtual ACF

As always, our Cadets and adult volunteers continue to do great things whilst in lockdown, demonstrating just how adaptable this organisation is and we’d like to extend our thanks to all of you for Keeping the Flame Alive. Here are just a few of the things that you’ve been up to.

Armed Forces Day Bake-off challenge

RSMI Carmichael from Merseyside ACF has set an Armed Forces Themed Bake off challenge to the rest of the county. We look forward to seeing some delicious offerings on their social media accounts.

Pass the Mic

Like all of us, Sulgrave Detachment know how difficult it is to keep the conversation flowing, particularly after so many weeks in lockdown. So, they’ve come up with a genius way to Keep the Flame Alive with their “Pass the Mic” idea.

Cadet builds replica Anderson shelter

Big shout-out to Cadet Ben Hall from Dorset ACF, who built a replica Anderson Shelter in his back garden and is even living in it during Lockdown. He’s doing this in aid of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, well done Ben
