Sussex ACF accolade

Congratulations to everyone at Sussex ACF who this week were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS). This is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK, to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities by volunteers.

The Cadet Portal

We’re so pleased to see an increase in Cadets signing up to the Cadet Portal.

And this week, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders held an admin night to get more of their cadets using this great tool, allowing them to take control of their cadet experience.

Virtual ACF

During Volunteers Week, Shropshire ACF made history by being the first to hold a CFAV enrolment Ceremony online. Great idea team!

Competition winners

Not everyone hates Monday’s and this week we revealed the winners of two competitions we have been running.

  • Congratulations to SI Ross Wheeler-Clayton from Dorset ACF, who has won the collectable VE 75 Book that Army Cadets are featured in.
  • Cadet James Comins and SMI Brian Grace, both from Merseyside ACF, are lucky recipients of BBC presenter and author, Chris Bavin’s new cookbook Fakeaway. Well done and we look forward to seeing photos of what you’ve cooked.

Don’t forget, there’s the chance to win “Top of Your Game – Eating for Mind and Body”, by Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan and Army Cadet digi-magazine contributor and celebrity nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert, in this month’s edition of the magazine.
