The Army Cadet Force (ACF) is proud to announce that two of its nominees have been successful in the Coronation Champions awards. Cadet Sergeant Emily Allen from Humberside & South Yorkshire Army cadets has been confirmed as one of the successful ACF nominees, while Regimental Sergeant Major Instructor Peter Harrison from Greater London South East Sector Army Cadets is awaiting final confirmation of his award.

The Coronation Champion awards recognise individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment in their work, and who have made significant contributions to their local communities. The Army Cadets is delighted that two of its own have been recognised in this way, and congratulates both Cadet Sergeant Allen and Regimental Sergeant Major Instructor Harrison on their achievements.

"I feel truly honoured to receive the award and was shocked that I was even nominated. However I also feel what I did and continue to do isn't for recognition, award or praise - I feel that everyone should try and go the extra mile - be it helping a neighbour, or supporting a group of people or the wider community."

The ACF had made a total of 15 nominations for the awards, including two cadets and 13 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) from 8 different counties, battalions, and sectors. While only two nominations were successful in this round, the ACF is proud of all its nominees and the impact they have made within their local communities.

The organisation has also revealed that 13 of its other nominees will be considered for the 2023 ACCT UK Excellence Awards, which recognise outstanding contributions by ACF cadets and CFAVs. The ACF takes pride in the dedication and hard work of its members, and looks forward to continuing to support and inspire young people to make a positive impact in their communities.

The winners of the Coronation Champions awards will be invited to attend a special ceremony later in the year to receive their awards. The Army Cadets extends its congratulations to all the winners, and expresses its hope that their achievements will inspire others to get involved in the organisation and make a positive impact in their communities.
