Winchester residents witnessed a spectacular display of military precision as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Army Cadets took part in the Royal Logistic Corps' 30th Anniversary parade. The event, held to commemorate three decades of the Corps' dedicated service, featured an impressive turnout of cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) affiliated with the Royal Logistic Corps.

The parade, which included a total of 25 cadets from various units, showcased the discipline and commitment instilled in these young individuals. Among them were Cadet RSM Chandler and Cadet SSgt Holdstock from 4 Troop Bishops Waltham, who had honour of being presented to Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, the esteemed Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Logistic Corps.

The cadets, stood tall and proud as they awaited the arrival of The Princess Royal. It was a momentous occasion for Cadet RSM Chandler and Cadet SSgt Holdstock as they had the privilege of being personally introduced to Her Royal Highness.

After the formal parade and inspection, the cadets joined both regular and reserve personnel at the magnificent Winchester Cathedral for a service of Thanksgiving. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and gratitude as everyone gathered to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the Royal Logistic Corps over the past 30 years.

Following the service, the cadets and military personnel headed to Worthy Down for a Community Open Day. The occasion was an opportunity for the public to engage with the Army Cadets and the Army and gain insights into the vital work undertaken by the Royal Logistic Corps. Excitement filled the air as the attendees marveled at military displays and demonstrations, showcasing the Corps' diverse capabilities.

The Community Open Day also featured a breathtaking fireworks display that illuminated the night sky, leaving everyone in awe. Families and individuals from across the region gathered to witness this spectacular event and celebrate the significant milestone in the Royal Logistic Corps' history.

Colonel T Hope MBE, Commandant of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Army Cadet Force, expressed his pride in the cadets' participation in the momentous parade. He praised their dedication and hard work, highlighting the valuable life skills they acquire through their involvement in the Army Cadet Force.
