Participating in Walking with the Wounded’s annual Walking Home for Christmas campaign, a staggering £61,355.98 was raised in December for the Veteran’s charity. The charity supports those who have been injured whilst serving our country. Providing them with help and support, so that they can reintegrate back into society, gain independence and find employment. The challenge, open to anyone, was to get out and walk between 10-20 December. Several Army Cadet Detachments took part, making it a bit more competitive, all vying for the top place in the sponsorship leaderboard. At the end of the challenge, the Army Cadets as an organisation had raised the most money for the charity, with Yorkshire ACF contributing over £6,000 to the total.

Army Cadets raise over £60k for charity
Despite tier restrictions across the UK due to the continuing pandemic, Army Cadets have once again shown how they can step-up to a challenge.

“What an amazing result the cadets and CFAVs achieved through raising £61,435 for such a deserving charity. It was a great to watch the online competitive spirit in action whist thousands of us were keeping active throughout December. I want to thank you all for supporting such a great cause.”
