End of an Era for Cadet RSM Casey McGinley
This week marked the end of an era for Cadet RSM Casey McGinley of Durham ACF. After this week Casey will embark on a new journey as a CFAV. Check out some of her achievements with the Army Cadets below.
Virtual Congratulations to DofE Gold Award Holders
Unfortunately, due to social distancing restrictions our Cadets missed out on the opportunity to attend Buckingham Palace to collect their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards. However, HRH The Earl of Wessex shared a message of congratulations which featured numerous famous faces.
STEM Success
Cadet Cpl Kelly of Shropshire ACF successfully completed the Parachute challenge this week and he even managed to work out the egg travelled at 1.327 metres per second. Great work!!
Side Drummers Competition
This week Army Music Cadets were asked to join a virtual side drummers competition. More information here, with the winner to be announced online. Good Luck to everyone taking part!
Giving Something Back
16-year-old Cadet Sergeant Aiden Daniel from Dyfed and Glamorgan ACF will be joining the frontline battle against coronavirus after training to become a healthcare support worker in Swansea. Aiden said he wanted to do something to give back to the health service after he was looked after to well by all the staff when he underwent a major operation at the age of nine. Well done Aiden, we are all so proud of you.
