National Swimming Championship 2018 - the results

Well done to everyone who took part in the National Swimming Championship, which took place on 22-25 November at the Liverpool Aquatic Centre. The overall winner was Eastern region and the event saw a number of new ACF National Records being set by cadets from the South West, Northern Ireland, Eastern and the West Midlands.

The results were:

OVERALL WINNERS:

  • 1st place: Eastern (223 points)
  • 2nd place: Scotland (197 points)
  • 3rd place: North West (170 points)


JUNIOR BOYS

  • 1st place: Scotland (53 points)
  • 2nd place: North East (44.5 points)
  • 3rd place: South West (44 points)

Congratulations to Cdt J Ellis (South West) who set new National Records in three events: Butterfly (27:00); Free Style (25:65) and Indiv Medley (1:05:81)


JUNIOR GIRLS

  • 1st place: Eastern(61 points)
  • 2nd place: West Midlands (50 points)
  • 3rd place: Scotland (45.5 points)

Congratulations to Cdt Agnew (Northern Ireland) who set a new National Record for Breaststroke (39:19) and Eastern for the Relay Team event (2:14:91)


SENIOR BOYS

  • 1st place: Eastern(60 points)
  • 2nd place: North West (59 points)
  • 3rd place: Scotland (55.5 points)


SENIOR GIRLS

  • 1st place: Eastern(60 points)
  • 2nd place: West Midlands (56.5 points)
  • 3rd place: South West (53.5 points)

Congratulations to Cdt Boniface (West Midlands) who set a new National Record for Butterfly (32:37) and Cdt Bowland-Evans (South West) who set a new National Record for Backstroke (1:18:56)
