Met Police helps volunteer leaders supporting young women

23 May 2012

On Tuesday 12 June the Metropolitan Police are organising a free evening event for leaders in uniformed youth groups who are involved in child protection and training.

Entitled Supporting Young Women in London: Hidden victims - understanding the issues, the evening is designed to help and support volunteers in the capital's uniformed groups learn more about the challenges young women face.  This event has been arranged especially for them as their regular contact with young women means they are likely to be in a position to identify signs that suggest any young woman is being affected by behaviour or experiences that have placed them at risk.

Full details can be found on the Supporting Young Women: London flyer or on the Safer London Foundation website, where you can also download the booking form.

The briefing runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and will be followed by a networking buffet, concluding at 9.00pm.
