Merseyside ACF cadet wins public vote to become ambassador for CVQO

7 June 2016

Congratulations to Caitlin McEllenborough from Merseyside ACF who has been announced as a joint winner in CVQO's public vote for a Regional Ambassador.

Caitlin was one of the 27 regional finalists who made it through to the selection event in Somerset to determine which cadets would be chosen to go to South Africa as part of the Duke of Westminster Award. Although she didn't make it as one of the ten national finalists Caitlin has now been crowned a Regional Ambassador.

During the public vote Caitlin, along with Chris Dueck (a cadet with 2402 Burghfield Squadron ATC), were clear frontrunners amongst the 17 candidates due to their enthusiasm for the role. So much so this is the first time the panel has decided to name two winners as Regional Ambassadors.

Caitlin will now join the national finalists at the House of Lords for the Duke of Westminster Award lunch on Thursday 30 June.
