Thirty-six events between 04 September and 02 October across the UK will be hosted by the CVQO team to highlight the latest developments with the CVQO-led BTEC, ILM and City & Guilds qualifications.
As has been previously announced, significant changes made by awarding body Pearson, working in partnership with CVQO, means brand new qualifications will be revealed which will replace the existing Edexcel BTEC Level 2 in Public Services and Music qualifications.
CVQO chief executive Guy Horridge said: “The changes to the BTEC qualifications are an exciting development for CVQO and ultimately for our learners. The new look CVQO-led BTEC will be much more relevant in the way it recognises the skills the learners have gained as part of the cadet experience."
“The CVQO-led BTECs will continue to validate, formally through an internationally recognised vocational qualification, the achievements of thousands of cadets. As a result of the changes the true value and benefit of the CVQO-led BTEC qualifications will be will be better understood by colleges of further/higher education and employers."
“The CVQO-led Edexcel BTEC vocational qualifications may now be rightly judged on their own merits, as a valuable achievement in their own right, offering a clear demonstration of the ability and capability of the learner in a range of practical transferable skills. These are the skills that will help the learners stand out as they seek to make their way in to college, university or in to full-time employment.”
These Roadshows are intended for cadet force VQOs and those delivering the CVQO-led qualifications. Anyone else wishing to attend should in the first instance contact Dave Poke via email firstname.lastname@example.org
