Eighteen year old Liam Arnot of Northumbria ACF was named Champion Cadet 2012 at the end of the competition weekend at CTC Frimley Park last September. As well as the Clare Shore Trophy, which his county will hold for the year, he received a cheque for £300 from Cadet Kit Shop, which has sponsored the annual competition for the ACF’s best cadet for the past three years.
Congratulating Liam on his success, the Managing Director of Cadet Kit Shop, Tommy Dalman (pictured), said: “We have had an excellent working relationship with the cadet forces in the UK for many years. It never ceases to amaze me the level of expertise that these young people achieve in sometimes short periods of time; they are a credit to their parents, their units and above all themselves. I had the pleasure of meeting Liam, this year’s winner of the Clare Shore Champion Cadet Competition 2012, of which we are proud sponsors. Liam is a credit to his county Northumbria ACF and we are delighted to present Liam with a cheque to wish him all the best.”
