Canada exchange 2019

60 cadets and 10 escort officers embark on a memorable exchange trip

11 July 2019

Destination Canada, the group left London’s Heathrow Airport on 5 July, to join the Royal Canadian Army Cadets (RCAC) and enjoy courses that are very much part of the RCAC offering.

After arriving safely, the group were deployed across five different locations in Canada, each providing a six-week course in one of the following.

  • Leadership and Challenge
  • Expedition Instructor
  • Full-Bore Target Rifle
  • Fitness and sport instructor

Since the first trip in 1972*, cadets have benefitted from developing leadership and practical skills on the exchange, whilst making new friends and mixing with young cadets from a different part of the world.

We look forward to hearing all about this year’s exchange and will share any great photos with you, so watch this space!

If you’d like to be part of Canada Exchange 2020, then keep an eye out for a call for applications (Essential criteria applies), later in the Autumn.
