One skill that is vital whatever you do in life is the ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively, and that is what is at the heart of signals training in the ACF. It’s a topic that is growing more popular by the year and involves learning how to use some pretty impressive kit.
Signals training at detachment level normally involves using the Army Clansman radio system. There are also further courses and training at higher levels where you can gain experience of other systems such as the regular Army Bowman tactical communications system, which is designed to exploit the latest developments in radio and computer technology well into the 21st century.
Signals training counts towards the APC Syllabus and the DofE Awards.
