Spanning a wide and vibrant region across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Rutland (LNR), is home to 39 detachments and over 1,350 cadets and over 300 adult volunteers. We offer young people life-changing experiences through adventurous training, fieldcraft, first aid, STEM, community projects, and leadership challenges—all while building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. But we don’t stop there. Our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) are the backbone of everything we do, and we invest in them with full training, qualifications, and unrivalled support every step of the way. LNR Army Cadets are recruiting for cadets and adult instructors, cadets must be 12 and over and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) must be 18 and over. Our County Headquarters (HQ) is based at Tigers Road in Wigston with over 39 Detachments across the County.
If you are interested in joining the Army Cadets we are very inclusive and everyone is welcome to join. Want to start the adventure, come and join us, no previous experience required.
Colonel Mandy Davanna
કમાન્ડન્ટ
Colonel Mandy joined the ACF as a cadet at Prince William School Detachment in Northamptonshire in 1982, finishing as a four-star cadet in 1986. She then joined the ACF as a CFAV with E Company and held the positions of Detachment Commander and Area Training Officer, before moving on to a ten-year tenure as Area Commander. In 1998, she was appointed Deputy Commandant—a role she fulfilled with varying responsibilities until 2000, when she became Commandant. Outside of the ACF, Colonel Mandy is a senior manager at a large accountancy and taxation advisory firm. She lives in a small village in Northamptonshire, is married, and has a grown-up son. In her spare time, she enjoys her new passion for gardening and village life. She is a fan of Formula One and skiing, and her favourite holiday is attending the Ryder Cup and supporting Team Europe.
Lt Colonel Inez Bradbury

Lt Col Inez Bradbury joined as a cadet at Prince William School Detachment in 1980, when girls were first allowed to join the ACF at selected detachments under a two-year pilot scheme. She then joined LNR as an instructor in 1986 and has held various positions over the years at detachment, company, and county level. Her current post is as one of the Deputy Commandants. She has worked for over thirty years as a Chartered Surveyor but is currently on a career break from the profession, working with her daughter at her café and within a local school. Her hobbies include walking, canoeing, paddleboarding, skiing, cooking, travelling, going to the theatre, and spending time with family and friends.
Lt Colonel Ed Clayton

Lt Colonel Clayton started out as a young Army Cadet in Wisbech and later commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving the Army, he worked as a wedding photographer before returning to the Cadet Forces in 2016. Since then, he’s held various roles including Detachment Commander, Company Commander, and County Sports Officer. Now serving as Deputy Commandant of LNR Army Cadets, he focuses on supporting adult volunteers, helping things run smoothly, and making sure cadets get the most out of their time in the ACF. His world revolves around his fiancée and her two children. He also enjoys skiing (he’s a qualified instructor) and getting stuck into DIY when time allows.
RSMI Anna Ingle
રેજિમેન્ટલ સાર્જન્ટ મેજર ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર
RSMI Ingle started out as a cadet at Coalville Detachment, F Squadron. In 1996, she became a CFAV and over the years she has held a variety of roles, including Detachment Commander, Squadron Sergeant Major and Assistant County Training Officer. Now appointed as RSMI of LNR Army Cadets, her focus is on ensuring the values and standards of the ACF are upheld, providing advice and support on CFAV and cadet matters and ensuring the wellbeing of both cadets and CFAVs. Outside of the Army Cadets RSMI Ingle is a Business Manager, and Partner of a busy general practice.

Geographical Area: Covers central and west Northamptonshire, including Northampton, Daventry, Towcester, and Yardley Chase.
B (Tiger) Squadron (Affiliated Royal Lancers & Royal Anglian)

HQ Location: Army Reserve Centre, Ulverscroft Road, Leicester, LE4 6BY.

Geographical Area: Primarily focused on Leicester and the surrounding areas, including Hinckley, Lutterworth, Syston, and Oadby.
D Company (Affiliated Royal Anglian)

HQ Location: Cadet Centre, Spring Gardens, Wellingborough, Northampton, NN8 2AA.

Geographical Area: Northeast Northamptonshire and southeast Leicestershire, including Kettering, Rothwell, Wellingborough, Rushden, Market Harborough, and Raunds.
E Company (Affiliated Blues and Royals/REME)

HQ Location: Block 96, St George’s Barracks, North Luffenham, Rutland, LE15 8RL.

Geographical Area: Covers Rutland and parts of northeast Northamptonshire and Melton, including Oakham, Corby, Melton Mowbray, and Oundle.
F Squadron (Affiliated Royal Yeomanry and Royal Logistic Corps)

HQ Location: ACF Hut, 173 Waterworks Road, Coalville, Leicester, LE67 4HZ.

Geographical Area: Northwest Leicestershire and surrounding towns, including Coalville, Ibstock, Castle Donnington, Loughborough, and Barrow Upon Soar.
