What Is Annual Camp?
Annual Camp serves as the pinnacle of the cadet year—a week-long experience filled with adventure, where cadets apply their training, push their limits, and create lasting memories. The program is rich with opportunities, encompassing everything from fieldcraft and battle training to leadership development and teamwork.

Cadre's Begin Their Training

Todays Activities of Each Star Group
- 1 Star Gold is currently on the ranges.
- 1 Star Utah is participating in a Field Training Exercise (FTX).
- 2 Star Juno is engaged in an Adventurous Training day.
- 3 Star Sword is also involved in an FTX at the 3 Star level.
National Colonel Cadets, Colonel Ashley Fulford visited Wiltshire ACF today. The visit included a meeting with members of the Senior Leadership team, followed by a visit to some of our cadets from the 1 Star (Gold) Cadre as they awaited their Air Rifle shoot.

Troisième jour
Todays Activities of Each Star Group
- 1 Star Gold is currently on the ranges.
- 1 Star Utah is participating in a Field Training Exercise (FTX).
- 2 Star Juno are on a two day range package.
- 3 Star Sword is also involved in an FTX at the 3 Star level.
All personnel have limited training activities while ensuring that cadets stay hydrated and remain in the shade as much as possible, as temperatures approach 30 degrees.
3 Star cadre
The 3 Star Cadre is currently halfway through their Field Training Exercise (FTX). We had the opportunity to connect with them during the Ambush Training segment of the syllabus.

Jour 4
Todays Activities of Each Star Group
- 1 Star Gold is will move into their Field Training Exercise (FTX) phase.
- 1 Star Utah will switch to their Range package.
- 2 Star Juno are on a two day range package.
- 3 Star Sword will complete their FTX phase then move back to camp for a cadre day.
HQ South West Visit
Headquarters South West, our visitors today included Commander HQ South West, Colonel Matthew Palmer; Colonel Cadets South West, Colonel Rob Guest; and HQSW Senior Chaplain, Padre Gary Birch. They engaged with our senior leadership team before proceeding to meet and greet some of our Cadets and CFAVs involved in their respective activities.
1 Star (Utah) Cadre commenced their Range package today following the completion of a two-day Field Training Exercise (FTX).
At the 1 Star level, participants continue their practice on the Air Rifle but with different and more challenging elements incorporated into the shooting experience.
Today, they participated in a round of refresher training along with concurrent activities before heading to the air rifle range.
3 Star (Sword) Cadre Return from their Feldcraft Training Exercise (FTX)
The 3 Star (Sword) Cadre has successfully completed a 2.5-day Feldcraft Training Exercise (FTX). While this level of FTX can be intense and rapid-paced, adjustments were made to ensure effective heat management due to the ongoing heatwave. Despite the sweltering heat, our cadets delivered an outstanding performance.
During the FTX phase they awarded cadet of the days to:
Cadet of the Day – Monday. Cdt L/Cpl Hopkins
Cadet of the Day – Tuesday. Cdt L/Cpl Bracken
