WILTSHIRE ACF FIRST

2Lt Ian Peaple of Anzio Company has become the first Wiltshire ACF officer to attend and complete the Residential Phase of the Initial Officer Training course held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

This involved a busy long weekend of various exercises and leadership tasks involving Junior ACF Officers from all over the UK. He was able to meet up with former Wiltshire ACF officers Maj Jim Davidson and Capt Stuart Spencer who are now both Syndicate Leaders on the course.

The course involved a formal mess function in the Officers Mess of New College and a presentation of certificates by Brigadier Matthew Lowe Deputy Commander Cadet Branch Regional Command.

At his presentation ceremony he invited his Company OC Major Amanda Calaz and Company 2ic Captain John Burton as guests who were also treated to a lunch and tour of the buildings and grounds of the Academy.

Ian stated “A brilliant weekend spent with some brilliant, inspirational people. Very honoured to have been able to attend a course at Sandhurst, made better by being with a fantastic syndicate”.

Well Done 2Lt Peaple.
