A team of 10 cadets from Wiltshire ACF took part in the annual Royal Artillery Cup on Salisbury Plain this weekend against seven other teams from across the county. This year Wiltshire ACF achieved a highly commendable second place against still competition from the other teams, having won the competition the previous year.
Wiltshire ACF’s Honorary Colonel, General Sir John McColl presented the prizes on the day, and he congratulated all the teams that had taken part. Sir John went on to say that all the cadets should be proud that they had taken part and achieved something worthwhile. He then thanked all those who had helped make the competition a success for the cadets, including the Royal Artillery Engagement Team, the other members of the Armed Forces who had assisted and especially the Adult Volunteers who had given up their free time to enable the cadets to take part.
