TODAY WE HONOUR MINDEN DAY

IN CELEBRATION OF OUR REGIMENTS

Today is Minden Day. On the 1st August 1759, the 37th Foot (Later Royal Hampshire Regiment) fought at The Battle of Minden, during the Seven Years' War. Tigers around the world will be wearing Red Roses along with the other 'Minden Regiments':

Royal Anglian Regiment (1st Bn) wear Red and Yellow roses
Royal Regiment of Fusiliers wear Red and White roses
Royal Welsh Regiment don't wear a rose as the Minden rose has been incorporated in their cap badge
Royal Regiment of Scotland (1st Bn) wear Red roses
The Rifles wear White roses from the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, and 1 Aug is also Yorkshire Day.
Royal Artillery (32 (Minden Bty)) wear Red roses
