CADET MUSIC

Surrey ACF has 3 locations in which cadets can learn Music, at Camberley, Guildford and Redhill.

We are open to young people aged 12 and in year 8 up to the age of 18. We offer free music tuition, you don't have to play or read music we will teach you to play the snare drum, flute or bugle. If you are an adult you can join too, you can either be an Army Cadet Instructor or Civilian Assistant. Cadets get the best of both worlds learning music and taking part in challenging military activities, you can stop at the basics and focus on music or carry on to achieve in both military skills and military music.

Surrey's Music instructors have got a huge wealth of knowledge, as an example Camberley's Corp of Drums 3 instructors have over 40 years experience between them! You will often find one of our Corps of Drums out at important events, either in their Green Uniform or for special occasions including Remembrance Day in their Scarlets.

Surrey's Corp of Drums attend National Music Camp twice a year, the week long concentration camps enable cadets to complete BTEC awards and Star level awards in their chosen instrument and mean they get to work with Cadets from all over the country.
