Notts Cadet uses her first aid skills after tram crash in Nottingham City Centre

A hero teenager came to the rescue of a man who had been in collision with a tram in the city centre.

Army Cadet and A-level student Madison Martinez, aged 16, from Nottingham, jumped into action to assist a man by using her first aid training.

The Cadet Sergeant pulled the emergency door release, which opened the tram doors, then made her way round to the front of the vehicle to see what had happened.

She said: "I didn’t think twice when I heard someone was hurt, I have learnt First Aid skills in the Army Cadet Force (ACF) and know that acting quickly can make a positive difference.
