Chief Royal Engineer Inspects 202 Acton Detachment (RE)

202 Acton Detachment (Royal Engineers) had their annual inspection yesterday evening, by none other that the Chief Royal Engineer himself Lt General Sir Mark Mans KCB CBE DL.
As part of the inspection the General spoke to the cadets and staff and presented awards and made some promotions.
The detachment commander Sgt Major Clahar said "the cadets have been getting ready for weeks and it has been a great honour for our detachment" 
"We greatly appreciate the fact that the General has taken time out of his busy schedule to visit us"
Also commenting on the visit Company Commander Major Nigel Fullard said "For cadets to get the opportunity to meet one of the British Army's top officers has been a huge honour as well as extremely exciting, not every teenager can go to school the next day and say they met a General"
