The ACF runs activities that you wouldn’t be able to do in normal life

St George's

"I have been in the Army Cadets for nearly 7 months and have enjoyed every aspect of it so far. The reason I chose to join Cadets was to increase my confidence, make new friends and learn new skills.

Firstly, my favourite part of annual camp was weapons handling although I struggled holding/carrying the weapon it was a lot of fun. However, completing my test was very nerve wracking but I was overwhelmed when I passed.

I also thoroughly enjoyed my cadre and making new friends especially the lovely girls in my billet. Furthermore, the activities that were held in our cadre where extremely funny, especially when my billet won the competition for the tidiest/cleanest billet where we won £5 each.

I would recommend others to join the ACF to help with confidence and because of all the new skills that can be learnt which could assist in the future. Also there's many opportunities to do activities that you wouldn't be able to do in normal life and to make great friends!"
