Unsure as to what benefits the ACF gives young people? Well we're asking parents/guardians/carers what difference they think it has made to the young people in our care:
"My daughter is at Gravesend Detachment, Kent Army Cadet Force, Squadron Royal Engineers (RE).
You have helped her confidence no end, she never used to talk to anyone - now we can't stop her talking. She is going to Italy in July with the ACF, she would never have been able to do this without the help and support from you guys.
My youngest will be starting in September as it will help with bad habits/traits that he has picked up over the years and hopefully give him the incentive to get off his backside and do things!
Cadet Phillips does all of the camps, and really enjoys being outside with her friends. She is homeschooled and needs the ACF to help her interact with others, my daughter has always been my pride and joy, you have helped her to evolve into the person that she should be. Many thanks for all of your hard work, you really should be proud of yourselves for giving children the chance and the confidence to try out the things that you do!"
