I’m Cadet Lance Corporal Matt Peers and I’m from Tunbridge Wells Detachment.
"Some of the best bits in cadets that I have experienced over the last 3 years was my 3* expedition and hurling through an assault course trying to keep my helmet on.
One of the best days that I took part in was when D company had a chance to visit the Gurkha Royal Engineers. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had because we learnt how they survive in the wild and what they do to save and collect water. We also had the chance to see what weapons and vehicles they use.
If people are thinking of joining cadets I would recommend it highly, if you want an inside look to the sort of life and training you may face in the armed forces".
The photo shows Matt trying on a bomb suit as part of the ordance visit at annual camp last year.
